WHY BRIGHT JEWELRY?

BRIGHT JEWELRY products are of ecological friendly.....

Bright Jewelry is committed to its
                                  Environmental Responsibility

1.) Wood used for jewelries and accessories are by-products of tree farms.

Tree farms for fast growing species are prevalent nowadays. These farms provide sufficient supply of timber for wood and other related industries without the destruction of our natural forest and its ecological balance.

2.) Leather materials for jewelries and accessories are by-products of farm animals domesticated for meat production.

Leather materials used for jewelry making are waste materials of domesticated animal farms intended for meat production. Thus, no wild animals are poached for its horns, skin or bones for jewelries

3.) We only use recycled metals.

Mining is a very destructive practice. From the physical destruction of a land area to chemical poisoning of our water streams and river by the use of mercury and cyanide. Open pit mining is one of the most destructive mining practices. Acres of land, hills and mountains are being hauled to collect metal ores. Unfair labor practices to Indigenous people are also prevalent with mining industries. By using reclaimed metals from numerous post-consumer sources, such as existing jewelry, electronic components, and household metal waste, we help in lowering the demand for newly mined metals, thus diminish the destructive effect of metal mining practices to our society and the environment.

4.) Chemicals used to process raw materials are of environment friendly.
Chemicals use to process metals, leathers and other materials are of organic based not synthetic. If in case, there are no ways to avoid synthetic chemicals, we make sure that there is a proper disposal of its residue, to prevent chemical pollution of the air, land and water streams. And when it is possible, such chemical residues are used again for other purpose.

5.) Most of our jewelries are manufactured by small scale community industries in the countries of the Asian region.

By promoting their products, these communities will divert their livelihood from the “slash & burn” practices to jewelry & accessories making.  “Slash & Burn” is one of the reasons for ecological degradation of our natural forest.

6.) Raw materials are waste products of other industries.

Instead of dumping these waste of other industries, they become raw materials for jewelry making. Materials such as coconut shells as well as fruit seeds, wood bark, are waste of food and agricultural industries.

7.) Fashionable jewelries and accessories with designs inspired by nature and wildlife.

Few of our fashionable designs are inspired by nature and wildlife. Animal prints, patterns and charms on necklaces, bracelets and even rings is our way rekindling to our costumers consciousness in the appreciation of our wildlife’s existence.
